Resource/Cost Graphics

On the dialogue box for producing graphical reports it shows there the resource selection,content,date,format,titles..etc. Under the content tab, pls give me more detail description of what the "Divide by" field can do.On the Primavera manual it only says that..."Specify a number in the Divide By field to determine how P3 shows resource or cost values in the graphic"...Should i only used this field to reduce the number shown on the report or it has other usage or purpose?
