P6 Calendars?

I’m looking for an answer to my problem!!
Two projects each have a monthly calendar,each runs for twelve months,each have one task per month ie run from first of month to last of month.
When the two are linked with lag eg SS on 01 Jan Project1 to 01 Jan on Project2 making Project2 start on 01 Feb the dates on Project2 are out of sync.with the calendar dates. I have to manually alter dates to bring them back to calendar dates.
Is there another way of telling Primavera that the date,in Project2,has moved from Jan to Feb and the number of days has altered??
