I’m 35 y.o.a and based in Liverpool. I have an Honours Degree in Civil Engineering and over 10 years experience as a Site Manager / Engineer in Building, Civils, Land Remediation and House Building.
I’m looking for an opportunity to cross over into Planning. I haven’t worked as such before but my experience to date has involved short-term production planning, monitoring and control.
I’m highly motivated, driven and keen to work towards achieving the relevant Professional Qualifications. I hold Incorporated membership of the CIOB, Associate membership of the APM and have apllied for the same with the PEO.
I’m Prince2 qualified, currently familiarising myself with Asta Power Project and reading ’Construction Planning, Programming & Control’ (Cooke & Williams)

    Hi James

    Just go to the PP Jobs Pages and send your CV to all the agencies that advertise jobs.

    Then go the PEO website and put yourself up in the Jobs Wanted section.

    Thanks for taking the time to get in touch again. I’ve spoken to some of the Agencies you suggested, but most of the vacancies are for experienced / Senior Planners. I also suspect some Firms might be reluctant to pay Agency finders fees for someone they’ll have to train up.

    I’ve tried getting in touch with the PEO several times since July but they’ve been pretty unresponsive I’ve also applied for associate membership.

    I’m hopeful I’ll have a couple of offers of interview in the next few weeks. It’s a real waiting game and I’m chomping at the bit to get stuck in.
