Critical Path of Contract Programme

Guys,

I have a situation in which my client, the Contractor resource linked the Contract programme so that nearly all activities are critical. The Client does not accept these links, and his position is that only the sequence links are critical. The Contractor says that he resource linked the programme because this is how he costed his project.

I think the contractor is entitled to link however he wants (providing that the links are reasonable).

What do you think?

A structured plan is a step in the right direction, but if you do not take into account the resource implications of that plan then (INHO) it will invariably be unachieveable.

Your contractor is correct to present his plan in this way if he has particular resource constraints and should defend his position accordingly.
