VO Package and impacted as planned program

I have a situation where project contractual completion date is already passed and at this stage a package of variation is introduced by the Engineer/Cliant.As on the date we dont have any approved base line program.
During the execution phase(which is still going on)another evised base line program was introduced and that too does not have any approval yet.
From the contractual completion date to revised completion date EOT hav already been granted.
Engineer instruction calls to have this VO impacted in revise base line program.
To impact the VOs in revised base line program ,we have developed a WBS for theVOs realted activities......however some the VOs activities are same as baseline program activities.
Can I ,regardless of the activities already exist in base line program , include those activities under VOs WBS and prepare Impacted as planne dprogram.....
Will it be totally wrong approach or just not preferable ?
Have to have some reply soon
Thanks

    Hi Khawaja

Set down the events in a sub chart - big bright red colours - fix them with a start on constraint - link the end of each event to the start of the impacted activity or activities if more than one.

    Reschedule.

You now have an impacted as planned delay analysis.

so, do you mean that if an activity or activities ,whics is already a part of base line program ...can not be added under VOs WBS ???

    Dear K,

    A couple of remarks:

    1. If you submitted a schedule and did not receive a reply from the Engineer after 21 days, then you may proceed with the program of works as approved subject to other conditions in the Contract.

    2. Since the Engineer gave you the V/O after the original completion date of the Project, then all the activities needed to complete the works are considered Critical, subject that you do not have other time extensions.

And of course you must study the Time and Cost impact due to any Variation. I hope that this general knowledge might assist.

    Best,

    Samer
