Does anyone can share their idea how to generate planned progress based on the duration regardless of the resources?

    Hi,

You will never avail any data if your schedule is not loaded with any resource.

I suggest to create a material resource type with a price per unit = 1$ and load to all your activities.

Only then you will get a data to generate the diagram as required.

    Hope this will help.

    HiIn addition to Raymund

    Hi

In addition to Raymund suggestion you could also make 1 resource "dayres" and allocate to each activity the duration of the activity.

    Example=

Act-1010  dur 25 days   dayres allocation 25 units

Act. 1020 dur 15 days   dayres allocation 15 units

Act. 1030 dur 10 days   dayres allocation  10 units

In this way you can obtain a resourse loaded schedule and you can create histograms and "S"curves.

    Note

None of my junior schedulers are allowed to use this practice. Only fully loaded schedules are permitted.

    Trusting this helps

    Hi,

Maybe i am missing the point, but wouldnt this just be a scheduled plan without levelling. If you dont level then P6 will give you a planned progress based on logic and duration only, it dosnt look at resources until you level, it asumes you have an infinate amount of resources. This only works as long as you havnt based any of your logic on resources.

    Thanks

    I think you should use

I think you should use resources type as nonlabor then all units will be = zero, and u can add just the total budget cost or not. So, in that case you planned progress will be based on the duration regardless of the resources.

    Thanks
