P6 Version 7- Proble while import

Hi all,

I was trying to import an XER file to P6 Ver7.While proceeding after selecting the file name a window appears as "Import file is not valid". Is this could be a problem in the file I received or I am missing something in importing operation?

In my understanding the received file is ver8.2 and then exported to ver7.

    Kannan; open xer file in

    Kannan;

    open xer file in notepad by right click file and using 'open with' option. Change version number(8.2 to 7.0) on top left corner of file but make sure you don't change any thing else. Save changes. Now you will be able to import.
