Basis of schedule

well, never done it too but anyway let’s try to start with:

1. Scope of Works? (what if still in the concept stage?)
2. Contract? (same question)
3. Drawings / BoQs? (again, the same question)
4. Methodologies? (")

We are finishing the class 3 study and one of the deliverables is a basis of schedule document for the construction phase. I presume it is like a basis of estimate document for the schedule

say for example: you are tasked to do re-engineering of an existing plant, what would be your deliverables? and how are you going to schedule it?

May I refer to your post # 3, you mentioned that you are required to submit as one of the deliverables - a Basis of Schedule for Construction Phase.

Well, I supposed you were refering to Engineering Documents + Procurement (if any) + Site Investigation Reports.

Are there any other ways to create a Construction Schedule without referring to the above-mentioned documents?

1. Strategies

2. Methodologies

3. Available Resources

And sometimes we cannot deny that we are making schedules without any basis. A list with corresponding lines, sometimes is enough.

Try searching the AACEI website, look for the recommended practice No. 38R-06. This might give you an idea.
