I agree with Andrew
You usually change the logic to account for out of sequence progress.
You never ever change the baseline this was your original plan an your concept of how the project was going to be performed.
As you update the schedule things change for whatever reason and you are forced to do things differently hence the out of sequence progress.
Why in the world would you want to go back and change or baseline logic based on things that you had no idea were going to happen.
The WHOLE purpose of a baseline is so that it can be used to compare the original plan to the current plan and note the differences.
What you want to do is like originally planning a trip from New York to Los Angeles to drive it in 4 days = Baseline
Now something happens along the way and you have to stop in Miami first then from Miami you can proceed to Los Angeles this now adds 1 more day of travel time to your trip make it 5 days instead of 4 days = Update and out of sequence because you added the stop in Miami.
So with the basline line logic and sequence intact you can see that it originally was going to take 4 days for your trip but due to the added stop in Miami it is now going to take 5 days to complete your trip.
If you go back and change the original plan to include the added stop in Miami how could you ever compare the original plan vs the current plan ? You could not do it.
The baseline is your measuring stick NEVER change it.
