Hello!

I was wondering if anyone was able to help, our group is looking for any info on writing a procedure for schedule variance reporting. Any examples or samples would be much appreciated.

key data to be derived from the schedule is

1 SPI performance on an accum and period basis of current v baseline programmes - this gives the history then look forward by
2 SPI Index to Completion - this is the improvement required to finish the job on time (assuming you are behind)from which you can see whether it is realistic
3 Print out the top (5 ?) critical paths on the project and make sure they are sensible and everyone knows which are the current activitites on these critical paths
4 then as a test to see if you programme is getting more critical try a Float Trend Analysis graph
5 a simple Principle line would be nice but most software doesn’t support this

    Hope this helps
