I have problem with planned value curve management.
Current project data is as follows:
Data Date: Feb 10, 2006
Total BQ: 4,574,089 hrs
Earned Value: 602,470 hrs
Planned Value: at DD= 901,121hrs
Planned Value Curve: 4,448,034 hrs

Target Project data is:
Data Date: Nov 10, 2005
Total BQ: 4,573,326 hrs
Earned Value: 293,549

How come I dont get 4,573,326 hrs for planned value instead of 4,448,034 hrs?
I understand pretty much how I get the planned value at Data Date, but I cannot figure how P3 calculates the remainder.
Thank you in advance for your help

How can you compare plans with two different data dates?

the data date is not a problem.

you have2 work with your target BQ or you can use target variance to compare the original project and youre target.

if you want 2 compare youre actual with remaining then use completion variance (Q)

hopefully I have it correctly for what you wanted 2 do.
