| Cable Car | The 21 months duration for the 14km cable car project from the land available date is made up of the following activities:5 months lead time to the mast foundation contract before the cable car contractor can get access to the foundation for a 10 months installation works. The cable car contractor's installation is followed by the last 2 months of their overall 6 months testing and commissioning. This is then followed by a 4 months of Test & Trial Running. The 27 months programme of cable car's manufacturing, delivery, installation and test and commissioning is based on the extract of the supplier's programme. | — | Cable Car |
| Crane Grab Hoists & Cranes | Tender rates are often quoted as between 20 and 25 m3/hr. With adequate supervision and sufficient loose spoil material supplied to the crane drop area, these rates can easily be increased. Grabs mounted on crawler cranes, rates depend on... | Floating Track SlabRailways | Pre-cast concrete blocks that support standard steel tracks. They are used to reduce noise and vibration as the pre-cast track slab blocks are placed on resin pads (4 no per unit), held in place by fixed side and end restraint blocks. Side restraints, 0.8 m long, 12 no/day = 9.6 m/day Resin pads, 10 no/day = 10.0 m/day FST Units, 5 no/day = 10.0 m/day The above rates were achieved with a 6 man team, but could have been be speeded up by 200 300 % if a works train was available to hoist the units into place. The above was done with a "A" frame and chain hoist.6 rate statements found; left for an editor | — | Floating Track Slab |
| Hydraulic ExcavatorHoists & Cranes | Tractor with backactor, Massey Ferguson or JCB.3 has a 0.3 m3 bucket. Smaller 360 degree excavator has a 0.4 m3 bucket. JCB.6D, Liebherr 400, Hymak 580 or typical 360 degree machine has a 0.5 m3 bucket. 360 degree excavator machine has a 0.6 m3 bucket. Large 360 degree crawler backhoes have a 0.75 m3 bucket. | — | Hydraulic Excavator |
| Rail Grab Hoists & Cranes | Machine Rail Mounted Hydraulic Grab Rate of 30 - 50 m3 of sand per hour (dependant upon depth), with 1.5 m3 made (2.0 m3 bucket) with each machine lift. Giving a required lift rate of 2.4 mins. A rate of 37 m3/hr (per rig) was achieved on HK Station box excavation. This was achieved with inadequate supervision and and long breaks etc. The standard lift time was 3 mins. | 37 m3 per hrper hrParsed | Rail Grab |
